Another DIA shot. Interesting. At this point in time there were reports and accusations of the airport not being opened on time because of the "baggage system" not being ready. Didn't look like much of anything else was exactly ready either. Blaming a "baggage system" company from the U.K. became the popular media scapegoat. They and the politicians knew that most voters never actually fly over the area and see the truth. When they first brought in the earthmovers they sank. It took six months for the prior politician-family owned land to dry up enough to free the equipment and any real earth moving to start. The public was never informed of this. Amazing how that works.
I don't even remember where
this was. But who cares?
Not a great pic but what the heck. There's a little plane out there being piloted by my friend Dean. He decided to fly his grandpa and son out to Cabela's in Sidney, NE, for lunch and shopping. I never passed up a trip to Cabela's and had to grab a plane and tag along.
Rille formations. This is an interesting phoenomena. Protrusions that are more resistant to erosion than the soil around them. Are they ancient mountains tops of stone or an ancient drainage basin whose hardened sediments are being revealed?
Drainage formations.

Always an abundance of terrain to marvel at.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find some of the
best pictures I captured.
